Systems & Biomedical Engineering Department Labs
BMES includes seven laboratories.
1- Four labs are for undergraduates; two modern labs for electronics & circuits and two labs for computers
2- One lab for graduate students; rehabilitation and bionics lab (RBL)
3- One lab for medical equipment calibration and quality assurance of medical equipment (MECL). It is the first ISO certified lab in the nation for medical equipment callibration.
4- Medical imaging lab (MIL), a step towrds building a national medical imaging lab
All these labs are linked together with staff members and Internet through a LAN/WIFI.
Networks provides communication facilities among students, staff, and Scientific Society for Biomedical Engineers.

Analog and Digital training system
The Rehabilitation Engineering and Bionics Lab (RBL) s one of the first labs in Egypt which provides equipment and facilities for both research and education in the field of rehabilitation and neuroengineering within an Engineering School. The Lab’s mission is to provide an environment for joint research between multidisciplinary teams in engineering, medicine and clinical rehabilitation, and to provide learning opportunities for future rehabilitation researchers. The lab aims to apply state of the art technology and cutting edge research to improve the mobility and function of people with disabilities in order to reintegrate them into society. This will be achieved by applying engineering principles for identifying, quantifying and then designing methods for compensating and/or enhancing motor or sensory deficits. The lab also provides undergraduate and graduate educational resources for students in the field of biomedical engineering.
Facilities and Equipment:
The lab includes research facilities and equipment for biomedical data acquisition, data processing and analysis, 3D scanning and printing and educational resources.
